Dentons names Vancouver partner as Canada co-chair of mining group – The Lawyer’s Daily

Dentons announced that it has appointed Robin Longe, partner in Vancouver, as Canada co-chair of the firm’s mining group. He joins Edmonton-based partner Leanne Krawchuk as fellow co-chair.
According to Dentons’ press release, Longe, who joined Dentons in 2019, is a member of the firm’s corporate group and a natural resources lawyer whose practice is focused on mining, forestry, environmental and Aboriginal law. He has experience in all aspects of corporate transactions in the mining and forestry sectors and is regularly involved in the purchase and sale of mines and mining rights and related equipment and infrastructure.
In addition, Longe regularly advises clients on mining option agreements, joint ventures and other agreements specific to the mining industries, as well as negotiating arrangements with First Nations in British Columbia, including impact and benefit agreements, negotiation protocols and limited partnership arrangements.
