Eagle & Hawk to Land at Great Winnipeg Social

Two-time Juno Award winners to play Homecoming event.

WINNIPEG, MB – Two-time Juno award-winning band Eagle & Hawk will perform at the Great Winnipeg Social, Sat. Sept. 15 as part of UWinnipeg’s 40th Anniversary Homecoming. Eagle & Hawk are known for their distinct style of music, which will certainly have the social soaring that night. The event details are:

Tickets are only $10.”Their music weaves acoustic and electric rock styles with world beat, rhythm and blues and funk. These styles are accentuated with the rhythms and music of Native North America, creating a very eclectic and engaging live show,” said World Beat Festival Magazine.

Founded in 1994, by alumnus Vince Fontaine (BA ’93), Eagle & Hawk has combined modern rock with Aboriginal elements. With numerous awards under their wing, including two Junos, this popular Winnipeg band has taken their show on the road to play in major cities across Europe and towns in between and across our continent.
