Escape from Kwìkwèxwelhp Healing Village
September 21, 2017 – Harrison Mills, British Columbia – Correctional Service Canada
On September 21, 2017 during the 18:30 count, staff members at Kwìkwèxwelhp Healing Village, a minimum security federal institution, discovered that Ralph Radford Courchene was not accounted for.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Chilliwack detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Ralph Radford Courchene is 31 years old, measures 5’11” in height and weighs 250 lbs. He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He has a 2 inch scar below his right eye and the word OUT tattooed on the right forearm and Law tattooed on the left forearm. He is currently serving a sentence of 9 years, 6 months for contempt of court and aggravated assault.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Ralph Radford Courchene is asked to contact police.
CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
