Many people in Central Australia are in shock today as they come to terms with news of the passing of Greg Crowe, principal at the Catholic school in Santa Teresa, 80 kilometres south-east of Alice Springs.
Mr Crowe, 72, was killed in a car accident in Darwin yesterday morning which also claimed the life of another Catholic Education principal, from a primary school on Bathurst Island. She was 50 years old.
The 57-year-old driver of the taxi they were travelling in also died in the accident.
The three were on their way to a meeting of school principals in Darwin when their taxi collided with a cement truck.
