A major investment has been made to help remote First Nations get online with new or improved high-speed Internet access.
The federal government announced just over 7-million dollars in funding today to connect six Indigenous communities and 58-institutions.
In all 8.89-million is being spent on the infrastructure upgrades.
Fort Severn, Peawanuck, Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan and the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen will all benefit.
