First Nation ‘disappointed’ in top court’s consultation ruling

Canada’s Supreme Court ruled Thursday that federal ministers do not have to consult Indigenous groups when drafting legislation. An Alberta First Nation argued that they should be consulted on legislation that affects their treaty rights. (Oct. 11)
