Ron McIntyre, a Vancouver-based health care architect, has joined Dialog as a principal. McIntyre’s role is to accelerate the firm’s global health-care practice with expertise in non-traditional, non-institutional processes such as complex-care facility planning and evidence-based design. McIntyre previously worked at U.S.-owned CannonDesign for 13 years where he led health-care initiatives in Vancouver.
Education
Kathleen M. Birney, a civil trial lawyer and senior counsel with Cox Taylor in Victoria, has been elected to a three-year term as chancellor and chair of the board of governors at Royal Roads University. Birney has served on the board as a lieutenant-governor in council appointee since December 2013 and as the chair of the board’s governance and nominating committee since April 2016. Birney succeeds Wayne Strandlund.
