 Call for Facilitators

 The BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres & the Ooknakane Friendship Centre are proud to host: ‘Gathering Our Voices on Health’ 2013 from March 19-22, 2013. The 11th Annual Aboriginal Youth Conference will be held in Penticton, British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Okanagan peoples at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Aboriginal Youth aged 14-24 are invited to take part in this dynamic conference that will focus on areas that have been identified as especially relevant to Aboriginal youth surrounding Health as it relates to Language, Culture, the Environment, Employment, Education and Life-Long Learning, Sports and Recreation. Many workshops, cultural activities, an interactive Career and Education fair, evening entertainment and afternoon sport and recreation activities will be offered.
 

 Call for Facilitators: Submission deadline is November 16, 2012 by 5:00pm PST

We invite interested individuals/groups to submit applications to facilitate interactive workshops for the 2013 Aboriginal Youth Conference.
 

 Preference will be given to:

1. Workshops that demonstrate high-level interaction and share best practices/successful approaches to the conference theme of ‘Health’

2. Workshops that require little to NO audio/visual aids (i.e. projectors, microphones, TV/DVD Players etc.)

Please note – only fully completed applications will be considered by the Workshop Selection Committee.  Applications missing any of the requested details will not be reviewed.
