Grassy Narrows protester interrupts Trudeau’s Toronto appearance – Durham Radio News
A protester from Grassy Narrows First Nation crashed an appearance by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a Liberal supporter event.
Thursday night, the woman called on the federal government to keep their promise to provide a mercury treatment centre for the community.
She gave Trudeau a letter and stressed that people in the area are still suffering from mercury poisoning.
The prime minister thanked the woman and said she was welcome to stay at the event.
It was a better reaction than he had last time to a protester from the First Nation.
