Healing Our Spirit Worldwide – 2018 Sydney – Interview with Cora-Lee McGuire-Cyrette: Executive Director, Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA)
Empowering, dedicated, and passionate leader Cora-Lee McGuire-Cyrette, Executive Director of Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA), speaks of the organization and their participation in the Healing Our Spirit Worldwide (HOSW) event in Sydney Australia.
McGuire-Cyrette shares how their participation was based on ONWA’s belief in honouring women’s voices, while valuing women as the experts in their own lives and engaging them as such. She continues to explain how ONWA meaningfully engaged their community to garner the direction to bring youth, as future leaders, to Healing Our Spirits Worldwide as a mentoring and leadership opportunity for them. From three years of fund raising, resulting in over $50,000, to delivering the youth designed and youth-led Woman as Medicine workshop, Cora-Lee and ONWA provided an amazing opportunity to showcase the evident strength and resiliency of those involved, providing insight and impact for audience and presenters alike.
More about the ONWA process, HOSW event, and much more is detailed within the words shared in this genuine and informational interview.
