In a rare moment of near solitude, Christine Ginter leaves the crowded Regina Inn’s Wascana Ballroom and begins to reflect on these busy past few years.
At just 28 years old, Ginter is a teacher, musician, writer, motivational speaker and the founder of Inspiring Youth For Success, a non-profit organization that supports at-risk aboriginal youth in Saskatchewan.
Moments before, she accepted an education award and gave the keynote address during the inaugural provincial Metis Awards. It is nearing 8 p.m. on Saturday and Ginter is to catch a 6 a.m. flight to New York with her husband. Others might have skipped the awards ceremony in favour of some shut eye. But not Ginter.
