Indigenous people got full voting rights in Canada only in 1960. And ever since, it’s been a serious question for many in those communities as to whether to participate in Canadian elections, and if so, how. To help explain the issues, The Agenda welcomes Grand Chief Serge Simon of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake;
Margaret Froh, president of the Métis Nation of Ontario; and Riley Yesno, a member of Eabametoong First Nation and a student at the University of Toronto.
