Organizers hope to welcome a significant turnout from across the community for the Indigenous Rights Conference this Saturday, Nov. 16 in downtown St Catharines, where a host of scholars and leaders will examine a range of Indigenous issues.
Taking place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, the conference is free and open to interested community members.
The day will include the Strong Water Women drum group, various film screenings (including
Brock Chancellor Shirley Cheechoo’s documentary Tracks in the Snow), a feast featuring vegan and non-vegan food, and more.
