What it means to be a woman and a role model in 2019 invites a multitude of answers. On the eve of International Women’s Day, here are five Vancouver-area women who are helping redefine the power and importance of womanhood in their own unique way.
If you ask Sue Paish what it is she does, she’s more than happy to talk about it – but it’s not how she ultimately defines herself. It’s Paish’s first year as CEO at Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster, which is launching seven projects that have garnered significant private investment while gearing up to start a second round of approvals and funding later this month.
The superclusters consortium is designed to bring together more than 500 different organizations – private, public, post-secondary, and research – to develop innovative technologies in the fields of health, natural resources, and industrial applications. Bigger companies are connecting with smaller ones, different organizations are talking to each other.
