The Department of Culture and Heritage is committed to helping businesses understand and meet their language obligations.

85% of Nunavut’s population is Inuit and using Inuktut in daily operations, shows dedication to customers and contributes to the long term promotion of Inuktut language and culture.

Through Inuktuuriaqarniq Namminiqaqtinut (Private Sector Inuktut Support Program), grants of up to $5,000 can be used towards translations of marketing materials, Inuktut advertisement or to cover the costs of language training for staff in customer service.
