Invitation for Public Submissions: Bill 25, An Act to Amend the Education Act and the Inuit Language Protection Act

The Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Legislation invites Nunavut residents and organizations to provide formal written submissions on Bill 25, An Act to Amend the Education Act and the Inuit Language Protection Act.

Bill 25 was introduced by the Minister of Education and received 2nd Reading in the Legislative Assembly on June 5, 2019.

Electronic copies of Bill 25 can be downloaded from the Legislative Assembly’s website at the following location: http://www.assembly.nu.ca/bills-and-legislation. Paper copies of Bill 25 are available upon request from the Office of the Legislative Assembly.

The standing committee invites recommendations from Nunavut residents and organizations for specific amendments to provisions of Bill 25, An Act to Amend the Education Act and the Inuit Language Protection Act.

Submissions will be accepted until 5:00pm on September 13, 2019.
