As the six main federal party leaders gear up for their final live, televised, on-stage showdown at the Canadian Museum of History tonight, three of the major federal contenders — Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, the Greens’ Elizabeth May and People’s Party founder Maxime Bernier — are set to spend the day getting prepped for tonight’s debate after spending yesterday on the hustings in Quebec.

Scheer’s team is also calling on capital-area supporters to “wear all your Conservative apparel, bring signs and noisemakers” and gather outside the venue this afternoon to “help give him the boost he needs to knock this debate out of the park.”

Before retreating behind closed doors with their respective debate coaches, New Democrat Leader Jagmeet Singh will drop by the Tavern on the Hill — a seasonal patio in Ottawa’s Major Hill Park with a postcard-perfect panoramic view of the parliamentary precinct — to outline his party’s “priorities for Canadians.
