IRC: ISR Youth Funding Challenge
MAY 01, 2019
The Regional Youth Advisory Group (RYAG) is a group of inspired youth across the ISR who work to provide ongoing consultation and recommendations on issues that improve and enhance programs relevant to the cultural well-being and quality of life of Inuvialuit youth within the framework of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA).
One of the main objectives of the RYAG is to engage local youth. As a result, RYAG is issuing a Youth Funding Challenge to all youth within the ISR. Through TakingItGlobal and the #RisingYouth funding grants this opportunity allows for youth (aged 15-30) to create events/programs that are tailored to their needs and aspirations.
A few details to note:
Students/youth submitting applications should list IRC (specifically Britney Selina, Regional Youth Outreach Coordinator) as a mentoring organization/contact person so that the funding committee can associate their application with our funding challenge
For larger funding grants, there is a simple budget template included that is required for submission
The deadline for applications is June 30th

We encourage you to circulate this to your staff, students, and youth within the community to encourage all youth to get involved. Social media and bulletin posts are encouraged for promotion – and feel free to mention there are some awesome prizes available for successful proposals!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Britney directly. We are encouraging all youth with inquiries or in need of proposal assistance to contact their local RYAG members, which include:
