Release Date: November 05, 2012 NationTalk speaks to John Kim Bell. Hailing from Kahnawake Mohawk Reserve in Quebec, Bell studied music since he was eight, where years later would become the first Aboriginal person to ever conduct a symphony orchestra.
In 2005, Mr. Bell was appointed one of five Canadian advisors to His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, and has consulted with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation through his management company, Ariontha Inc. Mr. Bell is currently the President & CEO of Bell & Bernard Limited, a firm that specializes in First Nations-Corporate-Government Relations. He talks about the positive work of Bell & Bernard Limited and highlights government investment initiatives that are available to the Aboriginal community.
