Kashechewan First Nation: Young Boy Electrocuted

On July 9, 2008 at approximately 7:40 p.m., Nishnawbe-Aski Police received information that a young boy had been electrocuted.Investigation revealed the eight-year-old boy entered an enclosed transformer area which is located in the community and made contact with one of the wires. The wire carries approximately 135,000 volts.

Jayden LAZARUS is currently at the Sick Kid’s Hospital in Toronto.

Kashechewan is approximately 222miles north of Cochrane, Ontario.
