Local players on Team Ontario

At least eight players with local connections will suit up for Team Ontario South at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships from May 5-12 in Membertou, N.S.

The Ontario South female roster includes forwards Cassie Whiteye of Moraviantown and Jesse Kennedy of Oneida, and defencemen Kaitlyn Isaac of Wallaceburg and Taryn Jacobs of Bkejwanong.

Isaac plays for the Bluewater Hawks in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League with Kennedy, a former Chatham Outlaw. Isaac has committed to Cornell University for the 2019-20 season.

Whiteye will play in the PWHL next season with the Southwest Wildcats.
