Belleville, Ontario, May 26, 2015 – Loyalist College invites the community at large to review Loyalist 2020, the College’s consultation draft Strategic Plan for 2015-2020. This Plan will direct the College’s next five years, building on the previous Strategic Plan and the three pillars of Academic Excellence, Service and Systems Excellence, and Sustainability and Capacity-Building. Loyalist 2020 has been developed through discussions with a steering committee, with representation from across the College, input from key operating groups, as well as extensive input from the Loyalist Board of Governors. The Plan will take the College through 2017 and the 50th Anniversary of the College.

“Your input is important, and all members of the College community – our students, faculty, staff, alumni and our partners in education, business and industry and the community at large, are invited to review the consultation draft and provide comments or feedback,” says Loyalist College President and CEO Maureen Piercy. “Student success is at the centre of everything we do, and our priorities are reflected in our ‘Strategic Enablers’ – our outstanding staff; our deeply-felt commitment to each student reaching their potential; our comprehensive base of high-quality programs; our location and size; and our partners in our communities and beyond.”

The College invites the community to review the consultation draft Strategic Plan and the Discussion Paper, and to provide feedback via the Strategic Plan Feedback Form by June 8. The Board of Governors will review the final draft for approval at its June meeting.
