OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Sept. 27, 2009 – Please be advised the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Metis and Non-Status Indians, will launch the three-day film festival in Ottawa to celebrate International Polar Year (IPY). This festival, co-hosted by the Government of Canada, the Canadian Film Institute, and Library and Archives Canada, explores the issues and activities of International Polar Year 2007-2008 and showcases the work done through IPY and in the spirit of IPY, both in science and in art.Where: Auditorium, Library and Archives Canada,
