OTTAWA, ONTARIO–( Jan. 23, 2007) – The Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, and the Honourable Edward Doherty, Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs for the Province of New Brunswick, will host the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Labour in Fredericton, New Brunswick from January 25-26, 2007.

Discussion topics at the meeting include occupational health and safety with an emphasis on young workers, violence in the workplace, labour standards and Canada’s international labour activities.
