Members named for committee tasked with helping local businesses after COVID-19 pandemic – Fort McMurray Today

The Wood Buffalo Economic Development Corporation has officially announced the members of its Post-Emergency Business Recovery Task Force.
The task force, which was created by council on March 24, will propose supports and programs to help local businesses once the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
The task force’s main committee is made up of 15 members, with councillors Verna Murphy and Jane Stroud as the only council members with the task force.
Other members include Karim Zariffa, executive director of the Oil Sands Community Alliance; RJ Steenstra, president and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority; and Michelle Toner, executive director of the Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association.
