Labrador Metis Nation News
Friday, 18 Apr 2008
Chris Montague, President of the Labrador Metis Nation, presents Donnie Sampson of the Grenfell Regional Health Center with a $5,000.00 cheque to purchase a Striker Stretcher for Cartwright. Since the Labrador Metis Nation currently has no funds for medical needs, Mr. Montague has personally donated nearly $60,000.00 to medical assistance. He hopes that both the federal and provincial governments will follow his example and address the serious medical needs of the Inuit descendants of South – Central Labrador.
