Jessica Murray travels near-constantly in her role as MFNERC School Psychologist. She recently let us tag along with her to visit Indian Springs School in Swan Lake First Nation. Along the way, we found out how MFNERC is making a positive impact supporting resource teachers and students through the Clinical Services Program.

At MFNERC, the Clinical Services Program (school-based) provides much needed support to students with special needs that require intervention from specialized clinicians. MFNERC’s clinical services are available to students throughout Manitoba, and our staff provide assessment, therapy and programming for First Nations students who have been identified via referrals, assessments and reports.

MFNERC provides clinical services in the following areas:
Speech and language pathology
Deaf and hard of hearing/ASL
Occupational therapy
School psychology
Mental health
URIS nurse (Uni ed Referral Intake System)
Remedial literacy
