Mishkeegogamang Ojibway Nation will host a community celebration featuring Adam Beach, Daylin James, and the Webequie Fiddlers in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation community Friday August 31 and Saturday September 1, 2007.

The community celebration is part of Chief Connie Gray-McKay and Council’s plan to promote healing among their people.

Mishkeegogamang, which is located approximately 30 km east of Pickle Lake, Ontario, has encountered various challenges impacting the well-being of community members. By hosting celebrations and focusing on positive gatherings and community togetherness, Chief and Council hope to rejuvenate the community.

Chief Gray-McKay and her Council are committed to hosting similar celebrations to promote community healing every three to four months.

Entertainment will take place this Friday and Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. Central Time.
