Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) believes that all Métis children deserve a real and fair chance to succeed, and that quality early learning and child care provides a solid foundation for future success. For Métis families and children, access to culturally appropriate, affordable, high‑quality, flexible, and fully inclusive early learning and child care is critical. MNBC is reaching out to the Métis Chartered Community Leadership seeking input to determine the best approach to delivering high-quality early learning and child care for Métis children and families in British Columbia.

The input will be gathered through regional engagement sessions with community leadership and a widely distributed survey.  The input will assist in shaping the development of a National Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Framework.  The framework will include Métis specific policy that will guide future federal investments and programming for Métis communities in BC.

This survey is an important part of engaging with Métis people in BC.  Your input is valuable and needs to be included.  If you have a child aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age, your participation in this survey would be greatly appreciated and will assist us in advocating for the needs of Métis families in.

This survey should take not longer than 5 minutes to complete and your answers will remain confidential and results will only be reported in total numbers.

If you have more than one child enrolled in child/daycare, please complete this survey in relation to the child who spends the most time in child/day care.

Click HERE to access the ELCC Survey and we thank you for your valuable input.
