Alberta Premier Jason Kenney described mounting protests in support of the First Nations opponents to a northern British Columbia pipeline as a “dress rehearsal” for opposition to future natural resource projects.

Demonstrations held across the country have blocked railways, ports and bridges to show solidarity with the hereditary chiefs of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation, who oppose the Coastal GasLink project that crosses their traditional territory.
