A grassroots movement to develop a Green New Deal for Canada to address the climate crisis is in its early stages, but Eriel Deranger of Indigenous climate action is calling out those behind the movement for not including and respecting indigenous perspectives and rights.
Deranger recently wrote a piece for the Yellowhead Institute called The Green New Deal in Canada: Challenges for Indigenous Participation.
Deranger joins APTN National News Host Dennis Ward from Edmonton.
