Notice Calling For Nominations Of Candidates

Notice is hereby given to voters of the City of Iqaluit that an election is proposed to be held on October 19th, 2009 between the hours of 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Voting Stations for Iqaluit residents will be Cadet Hall, Iqaluit and Apex Residents will be at Abe Okpik Hall, Apex.For the City of Iqaluit

MAYOR of the City of Iqaluit
8 (Eight) COUNCILLORS in the City of Iqaluit

For the Iqaluit District Education Authority
7 (Seven) Members of the Iqaluit District Education Authority

For the Apex District Education Authority
7 (Seven) Members of the Apex District Education Authority

For the Commission Scolaire Francophone du Nunavut
5 (Five) Members of the Commission Scolaire Francophone du Nunavut

Nominations for candidates for election to all the above-noted positions must be received before 3 pm on Monday September 14, 2009.

Nominations forms can be picked up at City Hall reception or from the returning officers Kirt Ejesiak, or Jeanie Eeseemailee.

Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer personally or to the office of the Returning Officer at Iqaluit City Hall.
