NATIONAL RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS APOLOGY
PUBLIC VIEWING
ALGOMA UNIVERSITY, JUNE 11, 2008

Algoma University, the Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association (CSAA) and the National Residential School Survivors’ Society (NRSSS) invite members of the local and regional community to attend a live broadcast viewing of the Prime Minister’s Apology to Canada’s Residential School Survivors and their Families.Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members are invited to attend the historic apology and to participate in panel and audience discussions to follow. Algoma University, located on the campus of the former Shingwauk Indian Residential School, is one of several viewing sites across the country so that people can gather, view and discuss the apology.

The viewing and discussions will take place in the Great West Life Amphitheatre (NW200) from 2:30-4:30pm on June 11, 2008.
