Third on the CSB 50 program was a special time of acknowledgement and recognition of the Indigenous peoples in Canada. Roy Thomson Hall “acknowledges the original peoples of the lands on which this building now stands, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also acknowledge the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples who also shared these lands” (https://www.masseyhallandroythomsonha…).

As the Territorial band for the entire Canada & Bermuda Territory, we asked Major Len Ballantine to arrange “Nisga’a Lullaby” to acknowledge the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit indigenous inhabitants of Canada.

This piece features the Canadian Staff Band of The Salvation Army, the Chicago Staff Band, the New York Staff Band, The Southern Territorial Band of The Salvation Army, and the USA Western Territory Staff Band of The Salvation Army. Derek Lance, conducting.
