Official Language Minority Communities Fund

The Government of Canada is providing funding of $400,000 over four years to support the economic development of official language minority communities in the North. This initiative is part of the “Roadmap of Canada’s Linguistic Duality 2008-2013: Acting for the Future,” the Government of Canada’s strategy for official languages. The Roadmap is a government-wide program based on two pillars: the participation of all Canadians in linguistic duality, and support for official language minority communities. Partners include Industry Canada and regional development agencies (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Economic Development Agency of Canada for the regions of Quebec, Western economic Diversification, FedDev Ontario, and CanNor) .For more information:
