Please consider presentations that include the following topics for our 2020 Annual Conference:

– Proposal Writing – Land based learning

– Traditional medicines -Traditional Healing
– Trauma Informed schools -Cultural Safety/Accessibility
– Compassion/Self Care -Cultural based intervention

– Special Education

Other topics: Best Practices connecting Community Counsellors with Counsellors at the Post-Secondary Institutions, Parental Engagement, Racism, Counselling tools, transitions, assessments, self-regulation, and land based programs.


  1. Submissions are due on or before NOVEMBER 15, 2019
  2. Workshop Sessions will be 3 hours in length.
  3. The Conference is hosted by the Ontario Native Education Counselling Association which is a non-profit, with a volunteer board of directors.
  4. The following audio-visual equipment will be provided at no cost to the presenters:, LCD large screen, connection to house sound and WIFI. Please indicate any other AV requirements on the attached form. (You will be responsible for providing your own lap top)
  5. PowerPoint presentations must be submitted electronically no later than April 12,

2020 as every participant will receive a USB key with all presentations pre-loaded. Further information will be provided closer to the date.
