Ontario Awards Exceptional Employees
McGuinty Government Shines The Spotlight On Corrections
TORONTO, April 11 –
A corrections worker saved a family from a house fire. Two others saved a woman from severe cold. These are among the stories behind the awards the Ontario government handed to seven correctional services employees today. Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services Rick Bartolucci presented the awards for outstanding acts of bravery, humanitarian services, and contribution to the field of corrections at a ceremony in Sudbury.
Created in 1987, the Minister’s Exceptional Achievement Awards recognize individuals in correctional services who have distinguished themselves through valuable contributions and achievements.
