OPA begins consultations on updated IPSP

Toronto, Ontario May 9, 2011 — The OPA has announced that it is beginning consultations to update Ontario’s Integrated Power System Plan (IPSP).
Consultation sessions for those with an interest in the electricity sector will start with a web-enabled teleconference on May 17. This session will provide an introduction to the IPSP process and an overview of the IPSP Planning and Consultation Overview document, which is available on the OPA website at the following link:
http://www.powerauthority.on.ca/processThe consultation sessions will seek input and advice to ensure the views of stakeholders and others are considered in the development of the updated IPSP. Information on future sessions will be posted to the website.
The OPA will also be scheduling additional sessions with First Nation and Métis communities in the development of the IPSP. More information will be provided directly to Aboriginal communities.
