There is so much wrong with this news article and the way the issue was covered.

First, Maryam Monsef lacks the capacity to understand First Nation issues – she is coached in all she does. This is how co-optation works: Select a woman or young person who will follow blindly and also who has a career aspiration so much so that they will bend their morals.

Second, these old people should bring some real wisdom to the table such as ask Canada for accountability about why they are not entering into genuine nation-to-nation relationships with First Nations where equal amounts of land are respected and where First Nations gain an equal share of the resources. I have to ask, where is their wisdom and where is the reconciliation?
