PM announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service
Ottawa, Ontario – 3 July 2015
Introduction
Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service:
Daniel Watson, currently Chief Human Resources Officer, becomes Chief Executive Officer of the Parks Canada Agency, effective August 7, 2015.
Anne Marie Smart, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs, becomes Chief Human Resources Officer, effective August 10, 2015.
Karen Ellis, currently President of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs, effective August 10, 2015.
Nancy Horsman, previously Senior Assistant Deputy Minister (Tax Policy), Finance Canada, becomes President of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, effective August 10, 2015.
The Prime Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Alan Latourelle, Chief Executive Officer of the Parks Canada Agency, on the occasion of his retirement from the Public Service following a distinguished 32-year career marked by dedication and excellence in serving Canadians.
