POSTPONED: 2009 Grand Council of the Cree Annual General Assembly in Mistissini

General Assembly Postponed Due to H1N1

Please be advised that the 2009 Annual General Assembly of the Grand Council of the Crees (Eeyou Istchee)/Cree Regional Authority has been postponed until further notice, as recommended by the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay, and to avoid creating a health risk to the members of the Assembly due to the current H1N1 situation within Eeyou Istchee. Our office is working very closely with the Cree Health Board to monitor this issue.However, the location of the Assembly will remain the same, in Mistissini. A new date shall be determined once the Council/Board has convened on July 31, 2009 in Vald’Or. Thank you for your understanding.
