OTTAWA, Dec. 8 – The Chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (AFNQL), Ghislain Picard, and the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN), Shawn A-in-Chut Atleo, invite the media to an important press conference regarding the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Accompanied by other First Nations Chiefs, representatives of support groups from Canadian civil society and representatives of the federal political parties will be inviting Canadians to sign the petition asking Canada to adopt to the United Nations Declaration.
