The First Nations Education Council is looking for resource-persons from First Nations who work in culture-related spheres and would like to help sensitize public educational institutions as well as community organizations to Native realities throughout Quebec.The goal is to produce a directory which will be put online on the Website of the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS) in the scope of the program Measure 30108 A – Raising Awareness Regarding Aboriginal People

What is the program Measure 30108A – Raising Awareness Regarding Aboriginal People?
It is a program intended for public educational institutions as well as community organizations which want to set up, in a school context, projects targeting as a priority the acquisition or consolidation of knowledge with regard to contemporary realities, way of life and traditions of the Native communities of Quebec.
Will also be considered: projects instigated by current events and having the objective of bringing the student or the citizen to consider and ponder upon his/her own opinions and values, to question them and to adopt a critical perspective with regard to the media coverage of events.
