Regina-born artist painting Saskatoon’s largest mural – StarPhoenix

Shirley Perillat was preparing to see her image every day on the side of a downtown building. She just wasn’t expecting it to be nine storeys tall.

Shirley, along with her husband Daylon and infant child Aubrey, posed for a photo that is now being replicated by Regina-born mural artist Emmanuel Jarus on the side of the First Nations Bank of Canada building on Fourth Avenue in downtown Saskatoon.

“For goodness’ sake, I had no idea it would be so massive,” Perillat said in an interview this week.

She has watched with the rest of Saskatoon as the massive mural has started to take shape on the north side of the prominent nine-storey building.
