Regina hosting live music event

Aboriginal Day activities are underway, and Regina residents can add another to the list.

On Thursday, the Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) announced it will be hosting a live music event at First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) on June 23. Jacob Pratt, a FNUniv student, couldn’t be happier with the news.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for the university to get more national coverage,” he said. “We just did the royal visit (and) we received a lot of international coverage and now APTN. This is really good for the university, so people will know who we are. It just proves that we are on the forefront of First Nations issues, like blazing a trail.”
