Regina police to investigate death of woman in Saskatchewan RCMP cell – CP

INDIAN HEAD, Sask. _ An investigation is underway into the sudden death of a woman in an RCMP jail cell in Saskatchewan.
Police say emergency medical personnel were called to the Indian Head detachment Saturday afternoon.
The 46-year-old prisoner was later pronounced dead at the local hospital.
Her name has not been released and the Mounties have not said why she was being held.
The RCMP has called in Regina police to investigate.
They’ve also asked the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice to appoint an independent observer.
