Canadian first nations veterans held their annual Remembrance Day ceremonies at the war memorial in Victory Square in Vancouver on Thursday. Click here to see more photos.

First nations people from every region of Canada served in the armed forces during the Second World War, with 3,000 status (treaty) first nations people enlisted, including 72 women, as well as an unknown number of Inuit, Metis, and others.
