The head of Swan Hill’s Aboriginal school says it is still unclear where students will be transferred to after the college’s closure this week.
Payika College is one of four Koori Pathways Schools that the Victorian Government will shut this week, after consultants found the students were failing to be returned to mainstream education.
Principal John Brookshaw says there are no options for his students in Swan Hill.
He says he is waiting on a response from Victoria’s Education Minister as to whether he will support an alternative setting at the college for all the town’s disengaged students.
