Sudbury U: Emergency Fund Bursaries for Indigenous students

As a result of the generosity and proceeds raised during the Anishinaabe Maanjidowin: The Continued Spirit of Indigenous Studies event, 4 bursaries of $250 each are currently available to Indigenous students at the University of Sudbury who are in need of emergency funds. We recognize that the pandemic context we find ourselves in can add to the financial challenges some students face, and we are happy to assist by way of these funds.

To be eligible, an individual must:

  • be taking credits at the University of Sudbury;
  • be an Indigenous student (First Nations, Métis, Inuit);
  • include a brief reference letter from a representative of an Indigenous community (such as a Teacher/Elder/Chief/Band Council/Métis Local/Urban Rep);
  • demonstrate a financial need by filling out the short one-page form below, and submitting it before the deadline.
