Survey: Mapping and GIS Needs Assessment

by NationTalk on April 8, 2008803 Views

The Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER) is in the beginning phases of establishing a mapping and geographic information system (GIS) support service for First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities and organizations. This new program falls under our Information Services sector.

The purpose of this survey is to identify the priorities and needs of Indigenous communities across the country that are involved in or require mapping and GIS activities. From the responses to this survey, we will adapt our program to support the priorities identified.
Please go to the Mapping and GIS Needs Assessment Survey to participate. The survey will run until Friday, April 25, 2008.

For more information, please e-mail Steven DeRoy at or call (204) 956-0660.
